Vivideo Studio is a desktop application. Your projects, video files, audio and exported
results stay on your own computer. Editing, speech transcription and AI background removal all
run locally on your machine — your footage is not uploaded to us for any of them.
What stays on your computer
- Your media. Imported video, photos and audio are read from where you stored them. We never copy them anywhere.
- Your projects. Project files, auto-saves, presets, favourites and saved templates are written to your own disk.
- Speech transcription. Auto Subtitles runs a speech-recognition model on your machine. The audio is not sent anywhere.
- AI background removal. The MODNet and RVM models run locally on your machine.
- Exports. Rendering and encoding happen on your computer, using your CPU and GPU.
- Travel Map. The built-in maps (World and regional maps, place names and markers)
are part of the app and work offline. Your routes and map images are saved in your project folder.
If you add your own photo to a map pin, a small copy of it is saved there too.
- Screen, microphone and camera. Vivideo Studio includes an optional Screen Recorder.
It records your screen, system sound, microphone and webcam only when you start a recording or
enable the webcam preview. Recordings and screenshots are saved on your PC
(Videos\Vivideo Studio\Recordings and Pictures\Vivideo Studio\Screenshots)
and are never uploaded or shared by the app. Windows controls microphone and camera access in
Settings > Privacy & security.
- Rating reminder. To ask for a rating only at a good moment, the app counts your
successful exports and remembers whether it has already asked. This small counter is stored on
your PC and contains nothing about your videos.
When the app does use the internet
A few optional features connect to the internet, and only when you use them:
- Subtitle translation. If you use Translate Subtitles, the caption text —
and only that text — is sent to a third-party translation service
(MyMemory)
to be translated, and the translation is sent back. Your video and audio are never sent.
If you would rather no text left your machine, do not use this feature.
That service has its own privacy terms, which apply to text you send through it.
- Travel Map – street map. The built-in Travel Map maps work offline. If you choose
the online Street map, the map pieces for the area you are viewing are downloaded from
OpenStreetMap,
which receives your IP address and the requested map area, as with any website. If you use the map
search, the text you type is sent to OpenStreetMap’s search service
(Nominatim).
Map pieces are kept on your computer for a while so they do not have to be downloaded again.
The app also reads a small settings file from vivideostudio.com that says which map service to use;
no personal information is sent with it. The OpenStreetMap Foundation’s
privacy policy
applies to those requests.
Rate, share and feedback
- Rate Vivideo Studio. Ratings and reviews are made in the Microsoft Store’s own
window and handled by Microsoft under its privacy terms. We only see what Microsoft publishes in the Store.
- Share Vivideo Studio. Sharing copies the Store link or opens the service you pick
(for example email, WhatsApp or Facebook) with a short message and the link. The app itself sends nothing;
what you post is between you and that service.
- Send feedback. The feedback form opens a message in your own email app, addressed to
our support address. Nothing is sent until you press Send there. You can choose to include the app
version and Windows version to help us with problems.
The application also checks your licence and any purchases through the Microsoft Store.
Payment is handled by Microsoft; we never see or store your payment details.
What we collect
the application does not include analytics or
telemetry, so it does not report your usage back to us. If you contact support or send feedback by
email, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message, together with your email address,
and use it only to answer you and to improve the app.
Children
Vivideo Studio is a general-purpose creative tool and is not directed at children.
